Following up

Quote Follow-Up

A roofer showing shingle samples to a homeowner.
Did you know your digital team can check in on a quote so it doesn't go quiet?

You send a quote, get busy, and never hear back. The job often goes to someone who followed up.

Example (not a client)

A roofing company in Minnetonka

You walked the roof on Tuesday and sent a quote that night. By Friday you're on another job and the quote is a memory. In this picture, a short check-in goes out a couple of days later: "Still want this on the schedule?" You only jump back in if they reply.

How it works

  1. 1A quote goes out.
  2. 2A couple of days later, a short check-in asks if they want it on the schedule.
  3. 3You get the replies. The quiet ones don't depend on your memory.

Three ways to get it

Do it yourself

Free

A starter guide you can follow tonight. You need: Where your quotes live, and how soon you want the check-in.

  1. 1. Write one check-in: "Wanted to see if you had any questions about the quote."
  2. 2. Pick the timing. Two or three days works for a lot of local shops.
  3. 3. Add one more check-in only if you want it. Then stop.
  4. 4. Keep notes on who already said no, so they aren't pinged again.
  5. 5. Send a test quote to yourself and wait for the check-in.
